SCB’s High-Throughput ADAR Assay: Accelerating Discovery of RNA Editing Inhibitors

ADAR1 catalyzes the conversion of adenosine (A) to inosine (I) within double-stranded RNA. This enzyme plays crucial roles in innate immune regulation, cancer progression, and antiviral defense.

Leveraging our proprietary ADAR assay platform, SignalChem Biotech, now part of Sino Biological, offers a comprehensive ADAR1 inhibitor screening and profiling service to accelerate research targeting RNA editing pathways. Our platform quantitatively measures ADAR1 and ADAR2 mediated A-to-I RNA editing activity using a novel dsRNA substrate, providing an accurate, robust, and high-throughput method to identify and characterize ADAR inhibitors that modulate RNA editing.

The assay has been validated with ADAR1 (p150), ADAR1 (p110) and ADAR2 variants and has excellent tolerance for various organic solvents. Using this screening platform, SignalChem has successfully evaluated multiple compound inhibitors for their ADAR inhibitory potencies, consistent with the literature reports.
